Oscar ödüllü usta oyuncu Sophia Loren, yer aldığı birçok filmle sinema tarihinin unutulmazları arasında yer almayı başardı. Uluslararası alanda 22 ödülün sahibi olan Loren, İtalyan sinemasının ikonik oyuncularından birisi haline geldi.

8 Mart Dünya Kadınlar Günü için BBC’ye röportaj yeren 85 yaşındaki oyuncu, kariyerine adım atmasına destek olan Vittorio De Sica‘ya teşekkür etti. “Bana kendime inanmamı ve insanlar kaderimi ne kadar kontrol etmeye çalışırsa çalışsın, kendi gemimin kaptanı olmam gerektiğini öğretti” diyen Loren, oyunculuk kariyeri boyunca attığı adımların olduğu kişiye dönüşmesinde yardımcı olduğunu dile getirdi.

Yönetmenliğin oyunculuk dünyasında büyük bir yere sahip olduğunu dile getiren Loren, “Müthiş yönetmenlerin özellikleri budur. Oyuncuların kendilerine tam anlamıyla güvenmedikleri zamanlarda onlara özgüven aşılarlar.” dedi.

Kadın yönetmenlerle ilgili konuşan usta oyuncu, “Kadın yönetmenler, sahnedeki tüm inceliklere ve detaylara önem veriyor. Bağırmıyorlar, emir vermiyorlar. Fikirlerini önce danışıp, ilham veriyorlar. Kadın yönetmenlerle çalışmayı seviyorum ve ileride daha fazla kadın yönetmenle çalışmak isterim.” sözlerini dile getirdi.

Loren ayrıca, film sektörünün kadınlar için daha verimli bir yer haline getirilmesine rağmen değişmesi gereken bir sürü şeyin olduğunu da vurguladı. “Kadınlara yönetmenlik, senaristlik ve görüntü yönetmenliği konusunda deneyim elde edebilecekleri alanların sağlanması kritik bir konu. Film setlerinde hali hazırda erkeklerin üstünlüğü olduğu için, kadınlara da sahada eşit oranlarda imkan tanınıp bu döngünün artık kırılması gerekiyor. Herkese eşit imkanlar sağlandıktan sonra, en iyi yönetmen kimse o kazansın!” açıklamasında bulundu.
