Kurdish film director Shirin Cihani in Conference of Kurdish Women in Diyarbakir. This Conference, organized by Democratic Women's Movement. (24-25 April 2010) Cihani, from Kurdistan of İran and currently shootint her first feature 'Stêrk di nav rojê de bêreng in' (The stars do not have colurs during daylight). Cihani has also shot several documentaries including the one that tells the life of famous Kurdish poets Siware Ilxanizade and Jila Huseyni. The feminist film of Shirin Jihani "My Country's Stars" in Italy in 2008 the Calabria Film Festival special jury prize was received. The first Kurdish woman director of international films in competition will receive prizes. Because of great interest of the film was shown twice at the festival. This film is the story of Kurdish women prisoners being held during the Ba'athist regime of Saddam Hussein. Jihani from Mahabad city and she is 30 years old.
